SGG SHADE Brim — Bottom Light Shield for RayNeo Air Series Smart Glasses

RayNeo Air-series glasses have a distinctive profile — lighter and slimmer than most AR display glasses — but they share the same weakness: overhead light washing out the display. The SGG SHADE Brim is a bottom-mounted light shield designed specifically for the RayNeo Air frame geometry, blocking light that enters from below and from the sides of the lower lens edge.

Why "Brim" instead of a top blocker

Most light blockers mount on top of the frame to block overhead light. Brim takes a different approach: it shields the lower part of the lens area, blocking reflected light from below — tabletops, clothing, and ground surfaces that bounce ambient light upward into the display zone. This reflected light is less obvious than overhead light but just as damaging to display contrast, especially when using the glasses indoors at a desk.

The RayNeo Air's waveguide is positioned to project slightly downward, which means bottom-entry light is particularly disruptive to this specific display. Brim targets that vulnerability directly.

Installation and compatibility

Brim clips onto the lower frame edge of RayNeo Air-series glasses. The silicone mounting grips the frame without adhesive. Compatible specifically with RayNeo Air, RayNeo Air 2, and RayNeo Air 2s. Not compatible with RayNeo X2 or other brands.

For general overhead light blocking on RayNeo or any other brand, the SGG SHADE Universal is the better choice.

The honest take

SHADE Brim is a specialist accessory for a specific model. If you own RayNeo Air-series glasses and use the display at a desk or in mixed-lighting environments, Brim makes a visible difference in display contrast. If you're an outdoor user, pair it with SHADE Universal for top coverage too. It's a narrow-use product that does exactly what it promises for the exact glasses it's made for.

Questions that come up before checkout

What is the best first RayNeo accessory?

For many RayNeo buyers, the best first accessory is the blocker that fixes lower reflection and display washout before they buy comfort or carry accessories.

Why do RayNeo buyers often need a different light-control fix?

RayNeo users often deal with reflected light from below the frame, so a lower-edge blocker can matter more than a generic top-only solution.

Should RayNeo buyers add comfort accessories too?

Yes, but usually after the visibility issue is solved if slipping or pressure still limits longer sessions.
